Torino Fashion Village

In 2020, Canobbio Textile Engineering built the second shading tensile structure at the Torino Outlet Village. Together with the MB Montaggi SRL team, we designed, produced and installed about 30 PVC mesh sails, covering a total of 1000 m2.

The customer needed to shade the main boulevard and at the same time to decorate it without having to change the position of the flower boxes in the middle of the street; this is why we opted for this minimally invasive and very efficient solution.

Like in any project, all the components of the shading “Sails”, were tested in our in-house laboratory.
The durability of the welds, same case applying to fastening details, were tensioned and strained to breaking point using the dynamometer both at 23° and 70°.

The result is a perfectly tensioned sail with flawless and correctly sized details to avoid making it visibly “cumbersome”.
