Macau Stadium

A project fully carried out together with our Chinese branch – Canobbio Asiatex – as regards the tensile structure to cover the Olympic Stadium in the city of Macau.

“Located in Taipa within the Olympic Sports Center, the Macau Olympic Complex stadium is one of the main sports facilities in Macau. Inaugurated in 1997 as Estádio Campo Desportivo, the complex was renovated, renamed and relaunched in 2005 mainly to increase its ability to meet the standards of the 2005 East Asian Games.
Today the Sports Centre has a grass soccer pitch, an indoor pavilion, a hockey pitch, an aquatic centre, a table tennis hall with 5 tables and a fitness room.
Most of the Liga de Elite (Macau Football League) matches are held in this stadium and entry is free. It is also home to the Macau national football team”.

Canobbio Textile teamed with Canobbio Asiatex to build and install the stadium cover, designed by the German firm IF, consisting of panels made of highly resistant PTFE Fibreglass membrane.
