The scope of the project is the covering of an industrial
building, once a car seller, transformed in a Lindt
chocolate store and a McDonald’s restaurant. 61
rectangular panels with different dimensions made up
with aluminum profiles, continuous, without connecting
points, covering an area of 500 sqm. Panels are linked to
the steel structure behind with special anchoring plates.
Logos of the stores are painted on the mesh fabric.
The architect idea was to animate the façade with play of
lights and to insert behind the fabric few rafters in order
to give to the panels an idea of movement.
This kind of application in textile architecture has a
growing demand in the last years; it is as a matter of fact
very versatile, a sort of “shell” which allows to modify
the aspect of existing buildings without structural
